Diversity and inclusion on both a personal and organizational level 

Did you know that your circle of friends says a lot about how you assemble your team at work? We didn’t either.
This was one of the insights about an inclusive work culture from the presentation by Martin van Engel, a diversity and inclusion expert. Through thought-provoking examples and challenging questions, he held up a mirror to us about workplace diversity. How inclusive are you, really?

In his presentation, we learned how to consider the Code of Diverse and Inclusive Communication, both on a personal level and (perhaps even more importantly) on an organizational level. Promoting inclusivity starts with attracting and welcoming people who don’t initially resemble yourself; a diverse circle of friends leads to a diverse organization.
