Accessible website and accessible texts.
Can everyone understand your content? A website that technically complies with accessibility guidelines is great, but without clear and comprehensible content, it’s only half the job. Reach a wider audience with straightforward and simple content.

Accessibility in 2025
You want your (new) website to be accessible to everyone. This is achievable with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Currently, WCAG 2.1 at level AA is the European standard, and starting in 2025, it will become mandatory for e-commerce websites under the European Accessibility Act.
Content, content, content
We are happy to assist with the technical optimization of your website using a WCAG report and the necessary adjustments. Make sure your own texts and visuals are digitally accessible to ensure your website is comprehensible to everyone.
Working with us on a WCAG optimization? Then you’ll also receive a handy WCAG 2.1 checklist to make your content as accessible and inclusive as possible.
Language Level B1
Writing according to WCAG ensures readable texts for everyone. The complexity and length of the text can, for example, make it difficult for people with low literacy skills (reading and writing level B1) to understand your content. And that’s quite a large group: in the Netherlands, around 2.5 million people aged 16 and older are considered low-literate.
Accessible language at B1 level consists of simple words and short, clear, active sentences. Want to check if a word is B1 level? Visit www.ishetb1.nl (in Dutch) or let ChatGPT help you.
Tips and tricks
In our WCAG 2.1 checklist (which you’ll receive when you work with us on WCAG optimization), you’ll find plenty of tips and tricks for creating optimally accessible content. For example, use headings, give buttons and links clear names and purposes, and think about file names and ALT texts for your images.
