Muziekgebouw Eindhoven holds an important position as a major concert hall in Eindhoven. In this growing metropolis, they strive to expand the music culture. Making the building and their extensive program more visible is a challenge. With our new visual identity, we are taking a great step forward.

The large concert hall of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is impressive, but on the outside of the building, old logos compete for attention among the shop windows. A fresh identity can help create connection and present your brand in an accessible way to a broad (international) audience.

In multiple sessions, we determined the strategy together with the team of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Based on this, we developed a visual identity and a strong brand story.
To engage the audience in the story, we visualize the building in the design. We do this by reflecting the shapes of the concert hall in the specially chosen typeface and the pattern that emerges from it. The red color of Eindhoven returns, alongside dark blue for a professional appearance.

Setting up a Design System creates clear guidelines in the design. For the in-house designers, this provides a framework to apply the identity broadly. From the signage inside and around the building, posters throughout the city, restaurant menus, to social media: this way, the corporate identity can be applied everywhere.
In a Design System, we create clear rules, reusable components, and guidelines for a consistent design and further development. These rules and components can be documented in our own Online Style Guide. This way, you can see all elements of your corporate identity in one place. It’s easy for internal use, but also to share with partners or external designers.
A branding process can be a significant change. Therefore, it is important to involve the client and the right stakeholders in this process step by step. The end goal is clear: to tell the right story to reach the target audience. By developing a corporate identity that remains relevant over time, you can create a long-term connection with your visitors.


For Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, we have developed an extensive visual identity. With this, we first developed the website, but also provided a foundation to make the organization and the program visible, both in the building and in the city.
